Smartstorify

Product design for an AI data-management platform.

Smartstorify helps storage and compliance teams, and managed service providers, analyse unstructured data across cloud and on-premise storage.

Starting point

I joined when the product was a command-line prototype. The team was developing a graphical interface for working with its analysis.

The design task

Design how users follow an analysis, read its findings and identify what needs their attention.

My responsibility

I’m responsible for UX research and product and UX/UI design across the platform. I also build the frontend with AI-assisted tools alongside the engineering team.

What I work on

  1. UX research

    I conduct discovery interviews with storage and compliance professionals to understand their tasks and terminology. I also review comparable products and their interaction patterns.

  2. Analysis interfaces

    My work covers conversational analysis, dashboards, and progress and status views — including how findings are organised and how the interface communicates ongoing work.

  3. Public website

    Alongside the application, I work on the website’s design and content structure to explain the platform to prospective users.
